Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) launches!
The Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) has launched today! The first of it's kind, the RHI offers fixed payments for heat generated from renewable resources, such as biomass, with tariffs guaranteed for 20 years from the date of accreditation.
Phase 1 of the scheme, which covers non-domestic systems in commercial, industrial, not-for-profit, community and public sectors, has opened its doors for applications from Monday 28th November. Phase 2 of the scheme, covering domestic systems, is expected to roll out in October 2012.
For further details, including eligibility criteria and a summary of tariff levels, please refer to Econergy's summary [.pdf, 55kb]. Alternatively, detailed guidance can be found on the Ofgem website.
If you have questions about the scheme, or want information on how a biomass boiler could help you in obtaining RHI payments, please contact Econergy on 0870 0545554, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
