British Gas acquires remaining stake in Econergy
We are pleased to inform you that British Gas, a subsidiary of Centrica Plc., acquired the remaining 81% of Econergy Ltd stocks for £6.5 million on the 15th December, adding to its existing 19% holdings.
For our customers, the combined sector knowledge of Econergy with the market reach and financial strength of British Gas will enable the company to take full advantage of the Renewable Heat Incentive and continue to lead the growth of the biomass heating sector over the long term.
